5 great ways to boost your website traffic

Published / by barunson / Leave a Comment

Is your blog not getting the traffic you think it deserves?

A few simple tips and tricks might be all it takes to dramatically increase your search appearance and traffic.

Here are 5 great ways to boost your search appearance in Google:

1. Keywords

This could be and in fact is, an essay in itself. But just in case you’re new, I’ll run through this a bit here.

noun: keyword; plural noun: keywords

  1. 1.

a word or concept of great significance.

“homes and jobs are the keywords in the campaign”

  • a word that acts as the key to a cipher or code.
  • an informative word used in an information retrieval system to indicate the content of a document.
  • a significant word mentioned in an index.

That’s the definition. But what does it mean to you, the blogger? Let’s have a look.

great significance

That is what your keyword needs to be. It also needs to be relevant.

You don’t want to write an article about Mount Everest when you’re keyword is socks. Bit of an extreme example but some people try writing a blog post about anything and then slap in a few high traffic keywords in hopes that they will rank high for those keywords.

And then there’s long tail keywords. Best to give an example of that. Let’s use Mount Everest.

where is mount everest located
who climbed mount everest
information about mount everest

Finding the right keyword is not an easy game. But it is extremely important if you want to rank in the search engines. You need to spend a lot of time, first learning about keywords and how to choose them and then you’ve got to actually delve into the search itself for the keyword best suited to your niche.

(Maybe search for run on sentence:-)

2. Keyword density

This is not how stupid your keywords are, but the number of times you use them in your post or article. It used to be that writers would plaster their article with the keyword literally having it upwards of 20 times.

Going even further back some people would “hide” their keywords in white text at the bottom of the page and have it listed a hundred times. They would have the text color as white on a white background so it wasn’t messy and distracting to the reader, but the search engines could still “see” them.

So you want to ignore any advice in that respect and stick to one or two keywords in an 800 word article. This will be sufficient for the search engines. Too many and the search engines will get snarly, not to mention your readers stumbling over the same word every other sentence.

So don’t overdo it.

3. Don’t focus on just one keyword

You write 50 articles or blog posts all focusing on the keyword “socks”. Not gonna help.

How about, knee high socks, toe socks, men’s socks, women’s socks, argyle socks, merino wool socks.

And try this: “What type of socks should I wear with hiking boots?” Now that’s a long tail keyword. But that’s what people search for and that’s the kind of thing you have to focus on.

Matt Cutts gave this example: don’t just use “Mount Everest” as a keyword; use “How high is Mount Everest”

The more and varied the keywords you use, the more opportunity that you have of getting higher in the rankings, for many of them.

4. Keyword URL

This can be tough. Not to understand, but to obtain. Getting a good domain name with your keyword in it would be great, but chances are it’s already taken. But if it’s not, do you really want it?

If your niche is extremely unique, like the top home security systems in Texas, then maybe it’s a good idea. But let’s look at socks.

What are some domains that you might use?

socksrus.com, .net, .org,

OK, I could go on ad infinitum but the point is that should you get your keyword in your domain url, you may end up drowning in a sea of socks, where there are so many urls with “socks” in them, it really doesn’t help. (Your just waiting for me say “Put a sock in it,” aren’t you?)

And as far as Matt Cutts and Duane Forrester are concerned, it doesn’t necessarily help all that much.

(If you’re not familiar with those names, hop to it)

And this is a great segue into the next topic

5. Brandable

Having your keyword in your url, or domain name, might be cool, but it would be even cooler…ok more cool, if your domain was brandable. If you have more of a generic name you don’t limit yourself to future possibilities.

A website that talks about general health products and supplements would be much harder to rank in search engines than say one that talks about the best beef protein isolate supplements.

Let’s get back to socks.

If you had socksrus.bling, you’re pretty much limited to selling socks.  You might be able to branch out a little bit, but when someone sees the url, that’s what they’ll expect to find, socks. And if they’re not looking for socks, they pass you by.

However, if you had something like garmentfactory.bling you’ve got a lot more options there and customers will be more likely to check out your site because of that.

You may have noticed how short that brandable name was. Two words. Short and sweet. Easy to remember. joesgarmentfactoryandsockemporium.com just isn’t going to cut it. Just make sure you don’t step on someone’s toes, i.e. using a trademark that you have no authorization for.

Don’t just jump in and grab a domain. Do some research and think it over. Make an informed, intelligent decision. This new domain will follow you all over the internet.

Can You Game Your Body’s Health with Silica Supplementation?

Published / by barunson / Leave a Comment

Of all of the minerals the human body needs to function, silica is one of more important minerals needed for every day life. Silica is essential for maintaining and developing human tissue and research suggests that silica may even be more important that minerals long thought to the be most essential. With an estimated 3/4ths of the population deficient in silica, more attention needs to be paid attention to this essential mineral.

What is Silica Mineral?

silica health supplementsTechnically speaking, there is no mineral called silica. Silica is actually silicon dioxide, an active form of the mineral silicon. As previously stated, silica is essential to the maintenance of bodily tissues and is required to repair and build bones and joints.

Silicon is a macro-mineral and it has been categorized this way since the 1970s. Researchers found that poor bone development and insufficient growth were two effects of silicon-deficiency when animals were fed a diet low in silicon. Other studies have shown that the health of arteries and skin tissues are both affected by silicon. More studies are currently in progress and researchers hope to show that silica is more important.

Unlike in the past when the human diet consumed enough silica, modern food processing has stripped silica from the average diet. Most humans do not consume nearly enough silica, which has dramatic effects on the body. This has lead to the growth in popularity of silica supplements such as diatomaceous earth, which supply the body with this essential mineral that acts as a glue and healer of many potential ailments residing within your body.

Benefits of Silica Supplements for Health

Now that you know how important silica is to the body, what exactly are the benefits of silica supplements? Here are the most common reported benefits of silica supplements:

Heavy metal detoxification

Heavy metals like aluminum, cadmium, iron, and copper are found in foods and inhaled by us each day. While it is true that these heavy metals are perfectly safe and even needed by the body in small amounts, studies have shown that a large concentration of heavy metals can be toxic.

Silica supplements help to flush the digestive tract of these heavy metals, particularly aluminum which has been linked to Alzheimer’s. These heavy metals are quickly flushed out of the system which allows the digestive tract and the entire body to operate more efficiently.

Improved bone health

Silica is an essential mineral that is needed for the production of collagen. Collagen is what actually makes up our bones – not calcium. Although calcium is needed for the process to make bone, the core part of our bones are made of collagen.

Silica helps to make this essential bone cartilage so that bone density is higher and that the bones are much stronger and healthier.

Improved blood pressure and circulation

Silica strengthens the walls of the arteries and helps eliminate plaque from the walls of the arteries. This helps regulate blood pressure and helps to improve circulation so your entire body can receive vital nutrients to operate as efficiently as possible. Some studies suggest that silica supplements might help lower the risk for heart disease.

Swissgolden Held its 2nd International Conference in Madrid This July

Published / by barunson / Leave a Comment

This July, Swissgolden held its second international conference in the lovely city of Madrid.

Even Swissgolden bloggers are taking notice. With the motto: “Swissgolden: perhaps the only worthy response to any crisis!”, the gold bar buying club celebrated with both enthusiasm and style amidst a positive atmosphere of optimism and continued success.  The location of the conference lent a festive atmosphere, as Flamenco references permeated the entire course of events.

Speakers at the Swissgolden Conference

Company Director Kseniya Kreger gave an uplifting presentation on Swissgolden’s yearly financials as well as forward direction for development of the company.

Various company leaders gave in-depth presentations on practical matters such as creation of gold shop websites for independent associates.  Some gave presentations featuring top sellers with persoal success stories to entertain the crowd, according to the chief editor at Host Authority.

There was also a round of awards, where Swissgolden leaders were recognized for their achievements.

Conference Attendees Get Down to Business

After the speakers and award ceremonies, it was time to get down to the real reason many conferece-goers made the trip to Madrid: a concert, show, and buffet for everyone.  The next day, it was on to more important work like sightseeing in Madrid, complete with interview and photo shoot stops.

Swissgolden: European Only?

Swissgolden holds its administrative offices in London, with a nominee informative office in St. Petersburg, Russia.  There are partner offices in Russia, Ecuador, Spain, and more locations around the world.  The training center is in St. Petersburg, where partners may attend training held by Kseniya Kreger, sales director.

The conference seems to have been held in Spanish, as there are no videos in English to be found, yet many in Spanish, one in Russian and one in Italian.

One reason for this may be that buying and selling gold bullion is still big in Europe, and has in fact always been bigger over there than in the USA. They’re like the spanish-version of MOBE, which got their start in Australia and continues to flourish in Europe markets.

“About Programm” (no that’s not a typo)

Europe does seem to be command central for Swissgolden.  That makes sense after all…Switzerland has long been the gold marketplace of choice for gold dealers from around the world.  They have the infrastructure for certifying the gold bullion, and of course for transporting and storing it.

Although such services are available in the United States, the world simply knows and trusts Switzerland and has for a long time, when it come to the gold business (and, to a lesser extent, Germany).  Swissgolden customers have their gold stored in depositories in both Switzerland and German, where there is a plethora of specialized and certified gold depositories.  The actual gold bullion they purchase through Swissgolden is Swiss and German as well.

Swissgolden shows its true non-English speaking colors on its own website, where their “About Us” page is titled “About programm”  (in case English isn’t your strong point, there’s a missing article in there, plus a misspelling).

Swissgolden, the Opportunity

After an initial laydown of cash for their gold, customers may pay for their gold purchases with marketing activity rather than cash.  They put in orders for gold, then pay for them later once they’ve brought new paying customers into the program.  This is the company’s version of a bonus marketing program.
